In this era, Hand Rickshaws are a rare breed in India. As far as I know, Only in Kolkata and in Pondicherry hand rickshaws are still surviving. Without the support of Pondicherry tourists, it will not be possible for the hand rickshaws to survive for at least another decade. You can take them for a tour within the White town.
