Surfing lessons start with 20 minutes of briefing and practice on the serenity beach. You will be trained in the sea once you are clear with the instructions. Guru Surf School will provide swimming trunks, or you can bring your own. They will provide all the gear, including the surfboards. All you need to do is to bring towels for your personal use. Guru Surf School mainly focuses on beginners who want to learn Surfing and venture into the sea for the first time. The beginner class with Guru will be a refreshing and memorable experience for you.
Guru Surf School has foam surfboards for beginners. He does provide three days, five days, seven days and ten days courses. Prices will come down if you take more sessions. As a beginner, you must take a class and see how many courses you may require to stand on the board and Surf.

Mother Ocean Surf School
Shankar is the Mother Ocean Surf School owner in serenity beach near Pondicherry and has almost two decades of experience in surfing. Mother Ocean Surf School offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level courses.
ISA-certified surf instructors give surf lessons. For beginners, the surfing lessons were provided at sea at knee level/hip level. From Intermediate courses, you need to know basic swimming. The instructor provided all the courses with Surf Board, Leach, and Swimming Trunks.
During the surfing course, you will be explained the correct timing and measures (on the surfboard), ocean safety, the proper pop-up techniques, surfing skills, etc.
They provide 3 days, five days, seven days, ten days, and 15 days courses.
Kallialay Surf School
Juan De Banyan and Samai De Kallialay founded Kallialay Surf School in January 2009 on Serenity beach near Pondicherry. It was one of the first surf schools on the southeast coast of India.
Juan and Samai have been surfing since 1996 and know English, French, Spanish, and Tamil. Both brothers turned their surfing passion into a profession and started this surf school.
They also provide three days, five days, seven days, ten days, and 15 days courses.
If you know how to surf, then Kallialay Surf Schools provide surfboards for rentals too. For One Hour and 30 minutes, it costs around 500 rupees.
