A specially curated farm-to-table dinner served under a luxurious hut connects guests to wild and seasonal ingredients.
Location:
Molasses, a luxury hut, is located in Aranyaka Estates, Molasur village, about 35 km from Pondicherry and 90 km from Chennai airport. The property is situated in a natural forest focused on conservation, biodiversity and, of course, delicious food!
Experience on the farm:
A walk through the forest
The main focus of this 25-acre property is conservation and biodiversity through natural regeneration to allow flora and fauna to flourish. This experience features a walk through the little patch of forest, home to various plants, insects, birds, reptiles and mammals. You can hear the chirping and songs of birds while walking through
the forest patches.
Natural Pool
Natural Pool was created to harvest the rainwater (a great spot to dip in!). The water level increases from 4 to 8 feet, depending on the season. Birds like Common Kingfishers, Water Hens, and Cormorants regularly visit this Natural Pool. You can jump in for a swim in the natural pool.
Animals like spotted deer, jungle cats, wild boars, etc., depend on these water holes. If you are lucky, you can spot one during your visit.
Luxury Hut
This is where your meal will be served. Experience the luxurious hut by sitting and chatting with your loved ones, catching the sunset, relaxing and taking in the views. It is a serene atmosphere, set amid the wilderness.
Farm to table
This property dedicated 4 acres for the farm for cultivation to produce ingredients for their use and the meal that will be prepared for you (Farm to the table). They have a poultry farm with breeds like Giriraja, Kadakanath etc. and a cattle farm with species like Gir, Holstein Friesian etc.
Eggs, Milk, cheese and ghee were collected and made from their own poultry and cattle farm, and the same was used for making the dishes. If interested, you will be taken to the kitchen garden and the farm while visiting the property.
Delicious Dinner
The idea is to give you a memorable meal and leave you with some food for thought. We hope to ignite your interest in the slow food concept and the importance of honouring the source and process of the ingredients used in your meal.
All ingredients are grown or foraged from within the land or sourced from other high-quality food suppliers from the region.
So, come by with family and friends to spend a memorable few hours in a pristine setting.
We have 2 options:
– A traditional banana leaf-style meal is charged at 1200 per head if above 6 people or 1500 per head if less than 6 people. If it is only 2 people, the charges will be 2000 per person.
-A 5-course whole meal experience charged at 2000 per head if above 4 people or 3000 per person if below 4 people.
