Wonders of White Town (WOW) is a live art museum in Villa Kouga at the famous Rue Sufferen Street in White Town, Pondicherry. Chief Minister N. Rangaswamy opened the museum to the public in January 2024. AP Shreethar is the man behind Wonders of White Town, and he is known for his paintings and as a museum maker.

Live Art Museum in Pondicherry is claimed to be the world’s first silicon-based live art museum, unlike wax museums. Wonders of White Town Museum has three sections: The Teddy Museum, The Live Art Museum, and the Fish Museum.
Teddy Museum:
Once you enter the museum, a Statue of Liberty welcomes you on the right. Once you enter in the museum, you will first experience the Teddy Museum. The Teddy Museum is full of stuffed toys in traditional attires.
They have kept a poster explaining the history behind the teddy stuffed toys. Do you know that Teddy was named in honour of the former American president Theodore” Teddy” Roosevelt in 1902?
AP Shreethar was inspired by these Teddy bear stories and made his innovations in teddy bears by turning them into a compelling representative of traditional global fashion. They have created the world’s most significant conventional garments on teddys across 192 countries and 32 states from India, from luxurious sarees from India to exquisite kimonos in Japan. They racked these teddies in different compartments, filling the whole room with teddies everywhere.
Live Art Museum:
The Live Art Museum has World-renowned personalities like MS Dhoni, Sai Baba, Mother Teresa, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, etc. Unlike wax statues from the famous “Madame Tussauds” and other museums, these statues are made from silicone. Mr AP Sreethar planned to do something unique instead of regular wax statues and made realistic silicone statues.
According to him, silicone material gives more life-like figures than wax, especially the skin tone. The museum has a replica of the World’s tallest man and the shortest man on the planet.
Fish Museum:
The Fish Museum is on the first floor, which is made up of wood, I guess. Fishes were made creatively with contemporary artistic exploration. The colours used are vibrant, different patterns are used for each fish, and the finishing of these fish sculptures is excellent.
The staff was polite and took care of the customers very well. I am impressed with the facilities and the sculptures overall. Ticket pricing is higher, but the offered facility justifies that. If you are in Pondicherry, visit this new attraction; you will not repent.
Entrance Ticket Price:
Adults: Rs.295 per person
Children: Ages 6 to 12: Half charges; they are not charging as an opening offer. Soon, kids from 6 to 12 years of age will be charged.

The museum is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
