Sellipet bed dam is located on the Gingee river, which is 13kms from the Pondicherry town and 6 km from the ousteri lake. Sellipet dam is the latest attraction during the pandemic. There is no signboard to sellipet dam since it is a new tourist attraction, so follow the google map, which gives the right direction to the location.
Sellipet bed dam is a new attraction for the Pondicherry tourists as well as to the locals. It needs excellent monsoon rains for the river water to overflow. Since the depths of the dam on the edges were less than 4 feet, adults and kids can have a perfect time. Both the swimmers and the non-swimmers can enjoy the river water.
